Before and After: Detached Garage Door Transformation

Before

Our project started with a basic and bland garage with older swing doors. This stark façade lacks curb appeal. A very faded paint job plus minimal and yellowed “white” trim only emphasized the basic shape of the building, without welcoming you to come for a closer look. The old swing-out doors were barely noticeable except for an awkward wood astragal and a couple of strap hinges. There were no design elements to improve the look of this building.

Now, look what a new Artisan Custom Doorworks carriage-style door can do.

After

The beautiful, swing-style carriage-house door is complemented by attention-getting door trim, fresh paint colors, and a new light that coordinates with the decorative door hardware. The addition of window glass to the door welcomes the casual passer-by. The entire composition, coupled with the ease-of-operation of an overhead acting door, amps up the curb appeal for this simple detached garage.
